Happy December!
I LOVE a gift guide and decided that this year, I’d make my own! These are a collection of items I’ve come across that are either on my list, I own myself, or I’m getting for someone I love. I hope you’ll enjoy the list and feel free to comment or e-mail me with your go to bookish gifts! (And also, I’ve divided these up into different types of people but they’re basically all me, and they can all be you, too. Don’t be scared. It’s okay. :*)
This post contains affiliate links. That costs you nothing, but just a heads up.
Homebody Bud
My husband and I both have this Anker Mini Speaker and we use it constantly. It’s tiny but mighty and I can’t recommend it highly enough—easy to charge, easy to travel with, good sound quality and volume, easy to pair with bluetooth.
As an admitted homebody, I have to wear shoes. It’s a sensory thing. And once my beloved and now unavailable busted-up slippers bit the dust, I found these as a wintry, cozy, supportive option. I fully endorse these babies, just don’t tell my stylist friend Monica. Behold, Fleece-Lined Crocs.
Once I’ve settled into my spot on the couch, I curl up to read and let the Crocs settle on the floor. When one reads, one must have a comfy blanket like this Sherpa Fleece Throw Blanket (and do tuck those toes in because you’re not a monster). Or maybe work on this is an adorable little bookstore puzzle that gives me All Booked Up vibes.
I love this glass water bottle, especially if I don’t need something un-spillable. The top comes off but it’s a nice size, dishwashable, and stylish (because we homebodies get a little glam too, right?).
I can’t ignore the friends who love a paperback book, so I recommend these Book Boyfriend Bookmarks—you can find my Back to Silver Ridge Series heroes there, but you can also find SO many popular romance heroes as well! (I’ve linked to my guys but have a look around at all the fun heroes! Need a Jamie Fraser or Rhys from ACOTAR? Steph’s got ’em!
Since it gives me all the cozy vibes, I’m suggesting the Silver Ridge Resort Boxed Set for the Homebody bud read.
Adventure Girlfriend
For those traveling the world (or just across town), keep organized with this Leather Cord Keeper—I use these at home and for travel and they keep me sorted, right along with this super helpful Grid Organizer for Travel.
If you’re packing clothes, my husband loves these Packing Cubes. They drive me nuts because I can’t think in tiny cubes like this, but if they do it for you, I do recommend them. He travels regularly and swears by them. We also pack our kids in them and that makes life easy when you’re packing multiple people in one suitcase.
Everyone needs a great pair of sunglasses. I love Goodrs with my whole heart and these are my favorites, but honestly, I’d have a pair in every color if I could! Check out these Goodr Iced by Yetis and definitely getcha a pair! The low price point, durability, and the sense of humor the company has all make me super happy to recommend these.
If you’re like me, you need reading options on your trip without adding weight (I’m looking at you, paperbacks) to the carry on. I like the Kindle Paperwhite although I hear amazing things about the Kindle Oasis.
Since Livie Anderson has the travel and adventure bug, plus the book contains a trip to Paris with the hero, I recommend The Problem with Planning as a read for this friend.
Writer Pal
This Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard is basically always on my list. Write anywhere and use any device—cool!
This is potentially a bridge too far, but for those who get their best ideas or just remember essential grocery items, check out this shower notepad.
Like many, I love a good Notebook and this one’s a beauty, and we’ll need some nice pens to go with. I LOVE Le Pens, and here’s a lovely little Le Pen Set if you do too.
If you stare at a computer to write or just do other work, Blue light blocking glasses can really make a difference for eye fatigue. I’m terrible about wearing them but I try to remember!
I love this tumbler and I won’t stop recommending. It’s big but not so large it’s too much, and if you like nice cold water, this is your baby! The Stanley 30 oz Tumbler is IT.
Since the heroine of this one is a writer, it seemed only appropriate I list As You Are as the reading rec for the writer friend.
Foodie Book Lover
I really loved Ina Garten’s newest book and I recommend if you want some of her classics plus basics amped up. It’s gorgeous photos with doable recipes and that little bit of “Oh, Ina” to make it delightful.
This Popcorn Variety Pack is just fun. It’s FUN!
Legit, I microwave my coffee like ten times a day, at least. The Ember coffee mug is on my list and I hear great things. Have you used one like this?
I just love this Feed Me Tacos and Tell Me I’m Pretty Sticker — it can apply to SO many of my heroines and friends, haha.
Of course, for the foodie, I have to recommend The Bright Side of Brooding since the heroine is a foodie.
Pop Culture Friend
Sometimes, the internet is magic. That’s what I felt when I stumbled across this I’m Dreaming of a Chris Christmas adult (PG) coloring book and I’m just so happy someone made it. I don’t have the coloring book bug but if you do, you might like it. If not, just go have a laugh.
Okay, I can’t do a pop culture section without something Disney because I love it. Here’s an adorable shirt from The Lost Bros, a local to Florida company and truly an awesome small business. If you’re a Disney lover, check out their fun products.
If you haven’t ready it yet, definitely get ahold of Katharine Center’s Book The Bodyguard—this book was a delight! I listened to the audiobook and the tough, grumpy female bodyguard to the sunshiny celebrity hero dynamic was just great.
My quiet, serious hero and my boundary-pushing celebrity heroine in Almost Perfect might fit the bill, too.
Classics Devotee
I love a graphic T and I can never have enough Pride and Prejudice in my life, so this Pride and Prejudice Shirt is perfect.
This Cloth bound Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite editions (even though I wouldn’t read it because I’m prissy about print books and like the cheapest paperback possible if I have to do the horrid work of actually holding a book versus an ereader). It holds prime placement on my shelf.
Though I have very little tolerance for anything other than romance these days, Crime and Punishment is one of my favorites of all time for what it did for my interest in Russian lit (I had a whole phase, y’all). Anyway, This one’s gorgeous.
We have to have tea with our classics, no? Love this Harney & Sons Tea Sampler.
This sticker makes me SO happy and if you love Jane Austen I bet it might do the same for you too: Boiled Potatoes Sticker
Finally, I have to recommend Almost Merry since Darcy and Jane are classics lovers too and, if you read it, you’ll see there are lots of references to P&P. (And yes, I know there are other classics besides those penned by Austen but for now, just embrace the very small representation acceptable.)
I hope, if you’re looking for fun gift ideas, maybe you stumbled upon something great here! And if not, you’ve definitely gotten a peek into my weirdo brain and the things I browse online, haha.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season full of love and joy and ideally a few great books too 😉
